Shipping and Handling

CARRIERS

We ship worldwide using reliable "brand name" air express carriers. Availability of carrier service varies by destination country. Shipping is arranged from our door to yours when using one of our carriers.

SHIPPING TIMELINE

Orders generally ship 7-10 days after your payment is received and credited to ExporThai. Exceptions are noted for specific products in the catalog, or by an email to you after you place your order.
When your order is shipped, ExporThai will send you an email containing the carrier's package tracking number for your shipment, along with a link to the carrier's website. Use this tracking number to follow the progress of your package in transit and plan for its arrival.

SHIPPING COST CALCULATION

When you click the "Checkout" button, shipping cost is calculated automatically based on the address you have supplied. You may have the opportunity to select between shipping methods. All orders are sent by air express, unless you contact us by email to arrange alternative shipping via your own carrier. Express air freight cost is calculated using the dimensional weight method. We calculate the actual weight and dimensional weight of your order. The dimensional weight is LxWxH (in cm) divided by 5000. The final shipping weight is whichever weight is higher, dimensional or actual.

CLEARING, TAXES, and DUTY

Depending on your destination country's local laws and regulations, you may be responsible for the payment of import duty and/or customs clearing charges based upon the value of the goods you have purchased. The air express carrier will bill you for these charges directly. DO NOT PAY EXPORTHAI for any costs billed to you by the carrier. NOTE: Goods are sold ex-factory when using your own carrier.

IMPORTING

For shipments via our carriers, ExporThai arranges the required import documents in advance of shipment, at no extra cost to you. If we send a shipment via your specified carrier, we will arrange the required documents with your carrier, but you will be responsible for all non-government charges (usually, your carrier's document service charges). Also, if we send a shipment via your specified carrier, it will be your responsibility to arrange for clearing formalities with your carrier on the destination side and delivery to your door.

Returns

ExporThai sells selected hand-crafted, home-made, and otherwise "not from a big factory" articles. Variation in color, size, finish, and workmanship is to be expected - actually, that's part of the beauty of our products!

At the same time, your satisfaction is of our highest concern.

Should you be unhappy with any article for any reason, just ship it back to us for replacement within 7 days of receipt.
Should the article no longer be available, we will offer you a choice of substitute products of similar or superior price or quality.
Please email us details of your return in advance to receive a Return Materials Authorization (RMA) document.

RETURN MATERIAL AUTHORIZATION

Due to the complexities of importing goods back into Thailand,

NO RETURNS WILL BE ACCEPTED WITHOUT PRIOR RETURN AUTHORIZATION

as evidenced by a valid RMA document which must accompany your return shipment.

SHIPPING DAMAGE

For Articles damaged in shipment, please notify the carrier directly for your claim.

Cancellations

Orders cancelled after payment is received are subject to a twenty percent (20%) restocking charge. Restocking charge does not apply to the shipping cost.

Orders may be cancelled at any time before payment received with no restocking charge.

Security

When we transfer and receive certain types of sensitive information, such as financial, credit card, or bank information, we redirect visitors to a secure server and notify visitors through an indicator on their browser.

We have appropriate security measures in place in our physical facilities to protect against the loss, misuse or alteration of information that we have collected from you at our site.

For each visitor to our web page, our web server automatically recognizes the consumers domain name (where possible), but not the email address. We collect the domain name and the email addresses of those who communicate with us via email.

We aggregate information on what pages consumers access or visit, information volunteered by the consumer, and as survey information and/or site registration. The information we collect is used for internal review to improve the content of our web site, to notify cunsumers about updates to our web site, and to contact consumers for special offers and other marketing purposes.
